The Panhandle Quilt Guild Cook Book celebrates its 20th Anniversary. There are pictures of our Serendipity Quilts and some quilt history along with lots of great recipes.

National Quilting Day

National Quilting Day was established in 1991 by the National Quilting Association. Officially, National Quilting Day is the 3rd Saturday in March. Unofficially, the celebration has expanded to the entire month. The purpose of the day is to continue the tradition of quilting through education and service. Quilt shops, fabric stores and local guilds host a variety of events and classes throughout the month to expand the knowledge of existing quilters and to draw a new generation into the craft.
Quilt Tour 2012: Around the Block
Saturday, March 24, 2012, Beginning at 1:30 p.m.
PQG Member Homes, Scottsbluff/Gering area
  • Panhandle Quilt Guild will offer a Quilt Tour on March 24,2012. 4-5 tours will start from 4-5 PQG member homes and move on to the next home every 30 minutes with travel time between homes.
  • Tickets will be limited. Availability will be announced soon. Ticket booklets will contain directions to homes, time lines for travel and various other details.
  • Refreshment specialities from the PQG Cookbook will be served at one home. Cookbooks will also be available for sale at that home.
  • There will be a door prize drawing at the last home visited on each tour.
  • Members are encouraged to be "Quilt Friends" by displaying some of their favorite quilts, and helping the hostess at that home. Please contact Carol R. at cmrogers@embarqmail.com if you have quilts you would like to share and you can help

    PQG is holding a Fat Quarter Drawing at several meetings this year. You are still welcome to bring fat quarters to increase our supply. Tickets for the drawing are $1 each or 6 for $5.
