LECTURE: Barb Gorges presents "How to Help Your Quilt". A quilt in an environmentally-controlled vault might last forever, but nobody will get to enjoy it. I think the biggest compliment a quilter can receive is that someone enjoyed a quilt she/he made so much it was loved to pieces. It is up to the quilt owner to decide which quilts are everyday quilts and which are special occasion quilts. Barb will relate today's best care practies by using old quilts to show how construction decision also determine the length of a quilts life. Members are invited to share quilt problems.

SUPPLY LIST: Pencil for taking notes on lecture handout. Students are welcome to bring examples of methods they use to store quilts and quilts that are examples of wear and tear.
